It was one Friday afternoon when colleagues where discussing how tough to drive long. It raises a question inside me. How long can I drive alone in an unknown route and condition. Fear was never a part of my itinerary.
That evening I rented a car and started my journey after office. I started around 6PM with some water and a GPS. I traveled from hot terrain to humid, passed through pines and it was around 3AM, I can't drive anymore. The nearest rest area is 10 miles. I remember that is the longest distance I drove with difficulty. I pulled at least four times before reaching the rest area. I can't keep open my eyes as I didn't have any rest or plan before my travel.
Finally reached the rest area by a great fight with my will. It was cold up there in north. I took my jacket and slept in the back seat until 5AM and then start driving north until the trip A in the odometer showed 1000miles. Oh yeah, I reached the milestone. The heart felt happier and turned younger..
What do I gain? - An another cherish-able moment to think about in the bed of my last days and blush....
